VetSpecs® WM10

Bluetooth Wireless Multiparameter Monitor

Bluetooth 5.6” Display Platform

(6.75 x 4.50 x 1.75 inches, 170 x 115 x 45 mm)

Designed for WIRELESS patient monitoring in surgery, dentistry, and postoperative / intensive care, the WM10 comes standard with a Bluetooth 5.6” display platform; a Bluetooth multiparameter module (shown below) with ECG, pulse oximetry, airway-direct respiration, and temperature; and a full set of sensors, leads, and probes.

(4.6 x 4.0 x 1.0 inches, 118 x 100 x 25 mm)

In addition, the WM10 offers OPTIONAL choice of a Bluetooth blood pressure module or a side-stream capnography module. For information on blood pressure or capnography, refer to the VetSpecs® WM100 page.

For patient monitoring, place the multiparameter module next to the patient, and the display platform anywhere up to 15 meters (50 feet) away from the patient, with no cables or wires in between.

The WM10 features multiple work modes. In multiparameter monitoring mode with optional blood pressure, the WM10 displays:

● ECG
● Pulse Waveforms
● Blood Pressure Waveforms
● Respiration Waveforms
● Heart Rate and Pulse Rate
● Respiratory Rate
● Temperature
● SpO2
● Systolic, Diastolic, and Mean Arterial Pressures

In multiparameter monitoring mode with optional capnography, the WM10 displays:

● ECG
● Pulse Waveforms
● CO2 Waveforms
● Heart Rate and Pulse Rate
● Respiratory Rate
● Temperature
● SpO2
● End-tidal CO2 (EtCO2)
● Fractional Inspired CO2 (FiCO2)

The WM10 automatically saves all registered waveforms, readings, and trend graphics on a USB flash drive. Take the flash drive to your computer and transfer the saved data, which is compatible with ALL practice management software systems. You can then review the data and print out a monitoring report, as shown below, through any office printer.

1. ECG and Temperature Monitoring

For monitoring in surgery or dentistry, the WM10 registers ECG and core temperature through an esophageal probe, with no leads or sensors on the patient’s body or legs. The WM10 offers esophageal probes of different sizes, suitable for use in cats, dogs, and all other similar-sized animals.

Esophageal Probes

For monitoring in postoperative / intensive care, the WM10 registers ECG and rectal temperature through the ECG leads with a detachable temperature probe.

2. SpO2 Monitoring

The WM10 comes with a SpO2 lingual sensor and a SpO2 leg/paw sensor. While the lingual sensor is for use in most surgical procedures, the leg/paw sensor is designed specifically for oral surgery, dentistry, and postoperative / intensive care. Employing a high-power LED light source, the leg/paw sensor can work effectively on patients’ legs and paws, even at sites covered with pigmented tissue and dense fur. The leg/paw sensor can also be used for quick spot checks of pulse rate and SpO2 in awake and conscious patients.

3. Respiration Monitoring

The WM10 features advanced airway-direct respiratory monitoring, which is effective for intubated patients in surgery and dentistry even when induced motions are constantly present. Simply insert the airway respiration sensor between the endotracheal tube and the breathing circuit after the patient is intubated. The airway respiration sensor does not apply when optional capnography is in use.

4. ECG Screening

The WM10 offers an ECG screening mode, which records ECG continuously for up to 24 hours from a patient up to 15 meters (50 feet) away, with no cables or wires in between. All ECG data are saved on a USB flash drive, which can be reviewed on your computer, printed through any office printer, and stored in your patient database under your existing practice management software system.
